About the Rye Town Map
The Rye Map was first published in 2001 and over 1.4 million maps have been distributed to tourists since then! The map serves several purposes:
- Clearly navigating Rye’s tourists through the maze of cobbled streets
- Promoting the advertisers who help to pay the print costs
- Promoting the Rye website
- As an aid to the Rye Audio Tour
The map can be found in most shops, restaurants, hotels, etc in the town and is exceptionally successful. As such, almost every tourist in Rye can be seen clutching a copy in their hand!
The design, printing and distribution of the map is completely paid for by the advertisers and Domain Support Ltd which means it costs nothing to the council tax payer.
Additional maps for your business can be collected from Adams of Rye on Rye High Street and Rye Heritage Centre at Strand Quay.
